Alice Girle

Soprano

 

​Alice recently completed a Bachelor of Music in classical voice at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. This year Alice played the role of Pamina in Mozart’s 'The Magic Flute' for Opera Australia's Oz Opera. In 2013 she has also performed at the Opera House with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the Australian Chamber Orchestra as part of Cantillation. She is currently preparing the role of Dolcina for Harbour City Opera's upcoming production of 'Suor Angelica'. Alice's love of music developed through her involvement with national youth choir Gondwana Voices.

 

She has sung with the Australian Chamber Orchestra, Neil Finn, and The Australian Voices. In 2003 Alice sang the Australian anthem at the Rugby World Cup. She performed the role of Euridice in Gluck’s 'Orfeo ed Euridice' with Opera Prometheus and Pastorella in Caccini’s 'La liberazione di Ruggiero dall’isola d’Alcina' with Ondine Productions. She has been involved in the Sydney Light Festival with The Song Company and has recorded with Sydney Philharmonia Choirs.

 

Alice was a featured soloist with the Marrickville Symphony Orchestra and in Schumann’s 'Der Rose Pilgerfart'. She has performed at numerous concerts for the Schubert Society, Roseville Music Club, Eastwood Music Club and Sydney Operatic Society. She appeared as the soprano soloist with Sydney University Musical Society in Vivaldi’s 'Gloria', Rutter’s 'Requiem' and Haydn’s 'Missa brevis Sancti Joannis de Deo' and last year as soloist in the Australian premiere of George Dyson's 'Hierusalem' with Bel A Cappella and the Lurline Chamber Orchestra.
